All are welcome; beginners as well as experienced. Adults - Children - Families!
Each student will be worthy of his grade as we reward those who work hard for their success - we do not 'give away' grades like so many of the modern, commercially-motivated and sport-karate orientated systems around today, we recognise hard work and dedication.
Although children are permitted to attend many of our training sessions they must understand that they may be training with (and will be required to behave like) adults at all times. What you will be learning is authentic and traditional Wadoryu Karate, not a Commercial or Sport-based Karate system - The syllabus we teach is not 'made-up along the way', it's the 'original' that was introduced from Japan in 1963. Parents are also invited to train along with their children. |

![]() Is your licence up-to-date?
Remember, if your Licence is out of date so will also be your insurance & membership. You will be unable to train, grade, compete or take part in any British Wadokai sanctioned activity. ARE YOU LICENSED? IT IS YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE YOU HAVE A VALID LICENCE. Applications from other organisations – Depending on origination (origin of style, certification, lineage, etc.) grades registered within your existing karate licence will be 'automatically' transferred to your new BWK Licence upon acceptance; Please include your present Licence (or photocopy) for British Wadokai records. Your Instructor will continue your grade commencement once you are in receipt of your new licence and are fully conversant with the requirements for progression. Late Renewals - Firstly. It is the sole responsibility of the individual to keep their insurance, licence, membership up to date and valid. Secondly. It is considered 'negligent' for instructors to allow students to train without adequate insurance. You are placing yourself and your instructor at risk by training without insurance. Check your Licence regularly and make sure to renew in plenty of time. |
