The Cranleigh School Karate Club is affiliated to British Wadokai.
The Cranleigh School Karate Clubs were first opened in 1982. There were originally two clubs operating at Cranleigh School; one for the Cranleigh School pupils only (which operated on Wednesday & Thursday afternoons) and an 'open' club for all students, which originally ran on Friday nights.
Although the Cranleigh School 'pupils' Karate Club closed in 2001, the Cranleigh School 'open' Karate Club still operates; although now on Monday nights during the school term.
Cranleigh School Karate Club is now run by James Taylor 5th Dan, who has been active in Wadoryu Karate since 1992.
Cranleigh School Karate. Cranleigh School Sports Hall, Cranleigh School, Horseshoe Lane, Cranleigh, Surrey. GU6 8QQ. Monday (term time only). 7-8pm. Juniors (minimum age 7). Price: £5 per session - FIRST SESSION FREE! Instructor: James Taylor 5th Dan.
Karate at Cranleigh School Wadoryu Karate classes are held on Monday evenings 6.45pm-7.45pm For all abilities, from 7+ years These classes are run under the tuition of fully qualified Sensei Jim Taylor (5th Dan).

About Sensei Jim Taylor
Jim Taylor 5th Dan. Jim started training in July 1992 at the age of 37 as the result of seeing his children enjoying karate and thought 'why not give it a go?' Jim went on to attain his 1st Dan in September 1997, 2nd Dan in September 1999, his 3rd Dan in September 2002, 4th Dan on the 30th March 2008, and his 5th Dan on the 31st March 2013.
